SOFTONE Group, one of the largest cloud-based business software providers in Greece and SA Europe, is announcing its new strategic partnership with Euronet (NASDAQ: EEFT), a leading global financial technology solutions and payments provider. This partnership aims at providing integrated services that support commercial transactions using payment cards, as regulated by the new legislative provisions.
The partnership covers the interconnection of SOFTONE’s commercial applications and digital cash register systems with Euronet’s epay POS/ePOS platform and payment terminals, including the ‘All in One’ solutions, where you can use a single device for the entire spectrum of transactions: from issuing and printing receipts, accepting online payments to forwarding the required tax data to the myDATA platform. This integration will offer a wide range of cost-effective solutions for online and brick-and-mortar businesses, covering the needs of Euronet’s 210,000+ and SOFTONE’s 80,000 customers, with the goal of gradually expanding across the entire Greek market.
Along with a number of commercial and operational incentives and advantages, the partnership between the two companies empowers businesses and professionals to navigate the challenges and opportunities created by the growing adoption of e-payments by consumers, while addressing the cash register and POS terminals interconnection requirement.
“This strategic partnership allows us to offer to more businesses, whether current or new customers, who are investing in their ΙΤ systems, a certified and functional solution for the interconnection of their cash register apps with POS terminals for card transactions. Our goal is to simplify payment processes for retail stores, restaurants, hotels, pharmacies and e-shops, so that merchants can focus on their sales and customer service”, noted Spyros Armeniakos, Managing Director of Euronet Merchant Services (epay) in Greece, adding that: “Our agreement with SOFTONE Group is illustrative of our vision for collaborations that will benefit both our customers and the end consumers. They are the result of Euronet’s investments in Greece, which started with the acquisition of Piraeus Bank’s merchant acquiring unit in March 2022 and are constantly evolving with strategic partnerships, in order to offer truly useful value-added services to the market”.
Mr. Panos Martinis, CEO of SOFTONE Group, stated: “Our partnership with Euronet marks yet another milestone in our journey to lead the integration of cutting-edge cloud-based software with payment solutions in Greece and Southeast Europe. Partnering with a global leader in fintech solutions and payments unlocks new possibilities for our mutual customers, enabling them to streamline their payment processes and offering them new value, maximizing services over a single platform that manages operations and payments. We are excited to embark on this journey with Euronet and look forward to continuously expanding the partnership.”
